Overview
Sweldong Pinoy is a specialized desktop application designed to assist Filipino workers in accurately calculating their gross and net pay, along with mandatory deductions such as income tax, SSS, GSIS, PhilHealth, and PAG-IBIG contributions. The software operates under the legal framework established by Republic Act 10963 (TRAIN Law), PhilHealth Circular No. 2017-0024, SSS Circular 2013-010, Republic Act No.
9679, and Republic Act No. 8291, ensuring compliance with current Philippine labor and tax regulations. It serves as a practical tool for individuals seeking transparency in their payroll computations, especially those working in the private sector or under government employment.
Target users include salaried employees, freelancers, and payroll administrators who need a reliable method to estimate take-home pay. The application supports real-world scenarios such as salary planning, budgeting, job offer comparisons, and financial literacy education. It is particularly useful for workers navigating the complexities of tax reform and social security contributions in the Philippines. The developer did not provide additional details about the organization behind the app, but the app is accessible via a dedicated website and has a corresponding Android version available on Google Play.
Key Features & Capabilities
- Accurate Payroll Calculations: Computes gross pay based on hourly or monthly salary inputs, factoring in overtime, bonuses, and allowances.
- Compliant Tax Deductions: Applies the latest withholding tax rates under the TRAIN Law (RA 10963) for accurate income tax computation.
- Integrated Social Security Contributions: Calculates SSS, GSIS, PhilHealth, and PAG-IBIG contributions using official circulars and contribution schedules.
- Real-Time Net Pay Estimation: Provides immediate results showing net take-home pay after all statutory deductions.
- Legal Compliance Engine: Built on verified government regulations, ensuring calculations reflect current laws and circulars.
These features enable users to simulate different salary scenarios, compare job offers, and better understand how deductions impact their monthly income. For instance, a user can input a base salary of PHP 25,000 and instantly see how much goes to taxes and social contributions, helping with personal financial planning. The tool is especially valuable for new employees unfamiliar with payroll structures and for those considering freelance work with variable income.
